My writing has gotten better this year. I was one of those people who always had spot on grammar in their writings. After this class, I realized that my grammar and punctuation wasn't always correct. I learned to put as much time and effort into my writings as much as I could to make them the best they could be. Sometimes there were ideas that kept flowing through my mind for somethings but not for other writings. Free-writes were probably my favorite to write because that was when my ideas would flow the best.
English 1 Honors was a tough class. There was a lot of work and a lot of effort that was put into the work. I expected this class to be challenging but I will say I didn't expect all of the SPES paragraphs. I've learned that I shouldn't procrastinate. It was better to get things done a good amount of time before it was due so that you could go back and look over it. It seemed like we wrote one essay after another and it seemed like our writing needed to be spaced out better within the semester. We read three different stories that were total opposites. These books were an opportunity to read something different but they were still enjoyable. Overall, English 1 Honors was a good class and it was a fun and different learning experience that was different from middle school.
